Nothing warms our hearts more than a few celebrity engagements. Not because being married is the biggest accolade an adult can have, but because we could all do with some good news now and again. Plus, comparing notes on celebs' extortionate engagement rings is basically a certified hobby.
So let's celebrate the ones that made the decision to put a ring on it; the ones that said yes; and the ones that still believe in fairy tale endings.

Perrie Edwards' engagement to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer is also up there with the most wonderful news ever. The pair, who have been together six years, already have an adorable 9-month-old son, Rex – and we think they're going to be very, very happy together… plus, their sunset engagement was just about as scenic as it gets.
Tom Hiddleston has seemingly confirmed that he and Zawe Ashton are engaged – and that he is “very happy” about their upcoming nuptials. After months of speculation thanks to Zawe's beautiful diamond ring, Tom spoke briefly to the LA Times about their engagement, though he didn't give away many details.
Zawe has been wearing diamond cluster ring on her engagement finger since March, when fans spotted it at the BAFTA awards. The couple met after they starred together in the 2019 play Betrayal.
And in possibly the biggest celebrity engagement news of 2022, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged again! After calling off their first engagement in 2004, Bennifer is officially back. This time around, he proposed with a beautiful green sparkler, unlike the famous pink diamond she rocked the first time around.
J Lo spilled about their engagement in a newsletter to her fans. “Saturday night while at my favourite place on earth (in the bubble bath), my beautiful love got on one knee and proposed,” she wrote. “I was taken totally off guard and just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again, I was quite literally speechless and he said, ‘is that a yes?’ I said YES of course that’s a YES.”

Sofia Richie is another celeb to have put a ring on it. The model shared the happy news of her engagement to music executive Elliot Grainge, posting on Instagram a photo of the moment Elliot proposed, as well as a close-up of the enormous diamond engagement ring. She captioned the post, “Forever isn’t long enough.” So cute.

Avril Lavigne has also said ‘yes’ to a trip down the aisle. The singer Mod Sun (real name Derek Ryan Smith) popped the question on 27 March, sharing the news on his Instagram writing "The day we met I knew you were the one. Together forever til our days are done.
"I had a dream where I proposed in Paris. I pulled out a ring + asked you to wear it. I was on one knee as I looked in your eyes. You’re too beautiful for my words to describe. I grabbed your hand + took one last breath… I said "will you marry me?" + she said 'yes'."

Avril confirmed the news during an interview with People, saying, “It was the most perfect, romantic proposal I could ever ask for. We were in Paris on a boat in the Seine River. We had a violin player, champagne and roses. It felt like time stood still, and it was just the two of us in the moment.”
On Valentine's Day, American gymnast (and most decorated Olympic gymnast of all time) Simone Biles announced her engagement to NFL star Jonathan Owens, calling it “the easiest yes” and adding, “I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! let’s get married FIANCÉ.”

Bombshell Megan Fox and American rapper Machine Gun Kelly are also heading for the altar.
The proposal took place under a tree very special to the couple, and involved a ritual of drinking each other's blood… to each their own, we guess!
On Sunday 28th November last year, Lindsay Lohan also announced that she's engaged to Bader Shammas, her boyfriend of two years. “My love. My life. My family. My future. #love," she captioned the carousel on Instagram showing the happy couple smiling and embracing.

Earlier in November, Kristen Stewart became engaged to Dylan Meyer after two years of dating. She revealed on the The Howard Stern Show that Dylan proposed to her, saying, "We’re marrying, we’re totally gonna do it.
"I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it. We’re marrying, it’s happening."
Kate Hudson also announced her engagement in 2021. Ahead of attending the Met Gala that year, she posted to Instagram to announce that she and Danny Fujikawa will be tying the knot. Sharing a snap of her and her husband-to-be embracing next to the beach (and showing off a sparkly ring and a fresh mani), she captioned it: "Let’s go!"
