Kim Kardashian is “happily single” and not quite yet ready to mingle.
In her first interview about her love life since breaking things off with former SNL cast member Pete Davidson in August, the reality star confirmed her relationship status and revealed where she will look for her next partner… eventually.
“I haven't really thought about it, because I just am not looking,” she told James Corden during an appearance on The Late Late Show. I just want to chill for a minute. I think I need some time to myself and to focus… finish school and all that. But I think my next route will feel like I have to do something like go to different places. Clearly, it's not working, whatever I'm doing.”
She continued: “I don't know, maybe like a hospital and meet a doctor? A law firm? I think it's going to be, like, scientist, neuroscientists, biochemist, doctor, attorney…. That's maybe what I envision in the future.” That would be different!
Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson dated for nine months following the SKKN founder's Saturday Night Live hosting debut in October 2021. By August 2022 a source who spoke with Entertainment Tonight said Kardashian felt “the spark between” them had “faded.” The source added that Davidson is “so sweet, but she didn’t feel ready for something serious with him.”
“They had tons of chemistry, and still do, but she kind of wants to be single and date,” the source continued. “Kim still adores Pete and will always be friends with him. She still thinks he’s the nicest and sweetest guy in the world and there's no drama or anything weird between them now.”
Ultimately, the source said that Kardashian “wasn’t feeling like she was willing to settle down with him just yet.”
Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, currently have three daughters.
While a source told People that Davidson was “super bummed” about the breakup — and Davidson's street style seemed to confirm it — they insisted it was a mutual decision.
“It was an amicable split,” a source told People. “They had discussed ending their relationship for a bit. It wasn’t sudden. And it was a mutual decision. Getting back together is not in the cards right now.”
No, it seems Kim K is looking for something a bit different. Maybe she'll be the one with a “My man is a lawyer” tattoo this time around.
