There are now not one, but three brand new colour-ways. Same OG formula we all fell in love with, super lengthening and volumising – but with a vibrant twist.

The exclusive flex tower mascara brush is still doing its thing, bending and volumising every single lash from root to tip without weighing them down, but the colours just give that lil extra-extra. The formula is infused with bamboo extract and fibres, too, to keep things flake-free. As for the colours, they're not for the faint hearted – they're loud and vivacious, specially the ‘Blue Mist’ shade which would really make your eyes pop.
‘Burgandy Haze’ is the most subtle of the bunch, and pretty universal, but would compliment hazel eyes beautifully. Meanwhile, ‘Pink Air’ will make any party look fun-fun-fun. Which tribe are you on?

Shade: Blue Mist
I love lashes – long, wispy lashes is my whole bag. When I'm not underlashing, best believe I got the OG Maybelline Sky High on. She's reliable, affordable and she reigns supreme. I was expecting big things from these epic new colour-ways. I had to go loud. ‘Blue Mist’ was calling my name. More daring that I would usually go, but it's party season after all.
On first stroke, the colour was a bit muted, but as I layered in, I started to panic. It was practically radiating blue light, it was so vibrant and electric. However, after a few minutes it settled into a more wearable shade. Perhaps a bit too subtle I must say, so I had to drop a point for that. Everything else was pretty much on par with the Sky High that I know and love. Max length, volume without clumping and plenty of depth. Now, if you see me wearing blue mascara on a quiet Tuesday morning to the office, mind your business…

Shade: Burgundy Haze
Sky High is one of my favourite mascaras, so I was excited to see Maybelline extend the shade range. The blue and pink are perfect if you want something fun, but for something a little chicer, I was drawn to Burgundy Haze straight away. But even though the lengthening and volumising abilities were instantly there (knew I could trust my gal, Sky High) – if I'm 100% honest, I was a little disappointed with the shade.
As I was applying it in my phone screen, it just looked black to me. When I went and had a proper look in the mirror though, you can see the burgundy a little more. It's subtle and soft and actually, I really like that. If someone were staring into your eyes they'd clock something was different – but maybe not put their finger on what. The burgundy gives definition without feeling as stark as black, and the tone helped helped bring my brown eyes out more. It's classic, but with a twist.

Shade: Pink Air
I'm clearly still in my Barbie era, as I chose the Pink Air shade. The original Sky High mascara is one of my all-time favourites for adding dramatic length and curl to my lashes – its new pink cousin has the same transformative effect, but imparts a subtle pink shade instead of inky black.
I found that the colour didn't pop against my own bare lid, but paired with black eyeliner, I got a nod to the '80s – while with brown eyeliner it gives me a really pretty burgundy eye. I've tried a couple of pink mascaras in the past and they've made me look a little sickly, but Maybelline's hue has the opposite effect – my eye whites popped and it immediately perked up my skin tone.

Having been a mega fan of the original viral sensation Sky High Mascara, I was excited to see the new, fun colours in the collection. Admittedly, I was a bit hesitant to try the cobalt blue shade at first (which gave me nightmare flashbacks to the noughties), and I wasn’t sure I’d suit something so bold. However, my mind was instantly changed after the first swipe.
I love how pigmented the blue is and the instant punch of colour payoff. Like the original formula, this mascara also delivers volumising and mega-lengthening power. I finished my eyes with a little black winged eyeliner flick, which surprisingly made the look more subtle and wearable. I’ll definitely be pulling this out for nights out when I want to get a little more creative with my makeup.

I've been faithful to the same mascara that I first picked up as a teenager, because no other has ever been able to come close in adding length without looking clumpy. The brand? Maybelline! So when I saw their Sky High mascara receiving rave reviews on TikTok, I was keen to give this range a try to see if it measured up. That said, coloured mascaras are intimidating at the best of times – and the shade on the wand comes up as a rich reddish purple, which I wasn't sure would work well with my dark lashes.
On application, I was immediately impressed with how subtle and wearable this was. Rather than the tone dulling my dark lashes, it added a vampy final effect, with the actual formula of the product being just as good as my other Maybelline go-to. While I really didn't expect to be so on board with a coloured mascara, I have definitely been converted – and could see myself wearing this day-to-day or for a more chilled evening look with a smudgy brown eyeliner.
