Milk nails are huge for 2023 and the celebs are so on board

What do Lizzo, Jennifer Aniston, Hailey Bieber, Zoe Kravitz, Kim Kardashian and Nicola Peltz-Beckham all have in common? All are devoted fans of milk nails which – news flash – is shaping up to be the biggest nail trend of 2023. 

Milk nails aren't exactly new, but following on from the “clean-girl” makeup aesthetic, they're a soft, delicate and subtle take on the '90s Frenchie, which has been resurrected over the past few summers. Rather than a clear contrast between the pale pink base and the bright white tip, milk nails sees the two shades merge into one another for a pretty milky mani shade that provides the perfect polished neutral to quietly compliment any outfit.

For the indecisive nail types out there, the semi-opaque milky pink is the perfect middle ground between getting a block colour and a neutral hue, but it's more low-key than shouty nail art and it's subtler than the sheeny glazed donut manis that had us mesmerised over the past year.

Selena's been keeping things simple and natural with bare-looking milk nails, kept short and chic.

Kylie Jenner pared back her dramatic XXL stiletto nails with a more natural milky nail colour.

The best part is it works for everyone, since the shade looks beautiful on deep, medium and fair skin tones and works with all the nail shapes, whether you like them short and neat, or long and elegant.
