Trust TikTok to coin a new hair trend. Heading into autumn the #preppyaesthetic is headlining, with crisp-collared button downs, blazers and loafers. And, Preppy Girl Hair is the perfect companion.

As for inspo, Gossip Girl has generated over 7 billion views on the app thanks to its throwback Y2K nostalgia offering up a whole mine of lewks to revisit with a 2022 spin. One thing you'll never see from Blair is greasy, dishevelled strands, and even if you take bestie Serena van der Woodsen's boho-chic take on the trend, it's still ultra-luxe, polished and deliberate. Both made glossy hair a signature, with Blair making an excellent case for bow headbands and berets.
